Photography

Lately, photography has really grabbed me as a creative outlet.  Ever since my last camera died after an untimely fall in Berlin, I’ve been missing having a lens to capture my view of the world.  I’m working with pretty humble gear now (a Panasonic Lumix FS15 point-and-shoot, a Christmas gift from the folks), and while I’d love to have a better setup, the constraint and simplicity forces me to focus on composition, rather than obsessing over the more technical aspects of the craft (which I’m trying to learning about anyways).  It’s also the right size to carry anywhere, for those great shots that sneak up on you unexpectedly.

I love trying to find new perspectives, to find pictures that catch your eye, that have visual impact without explanation or introduction.  I’m always open to advice, comments, or criticism. Feedback is a great learning tool if you have the stomach for it.
